The word bomber has several uses:
- A bomber is a military aircraft designed to attack ground targets, primarily by dropping bombs.
- A bomber is also a person who plants bombs. See also suicide bombing.
- A bomber is also a local English name for species of bee of the genus Bombus, due to their erratic habit of flight.
- Bomber is rock climbing slang for a totally secure anchor used for safety, otherwise known as a bomb-proof anchor.
- A "Paihia bomber" is a sea sickness preparation widely known to local and international game fishermen who frequent the Bay of Islands fishing grounds in New Zealand. It is prepared and sold by a Paihia pharmacist and because of its reputation, people sometimes have to order days ahead to ensure supply.
- A bomber jacket is a jacket made of leather or sheepskin with a fleece collar. They were extremely popular in the United States after the release of the movie Top Gun.
