Bondi Junction railway station, Sydney - Definition and Overview

Bondi Junction is a CityRail underground railway station at Sydney's Bondi Junction and is the eastern terminus of the Eastern Suburbs railway. The station is an underground station with a bus terminal above.

Improved facilities for terminating trains are currently being constructed at Bondi Junction station as part of the CityRail Clearways Project. The improved facilities will allow terminating trains to arrive in both platforms. This will allow a more frequent service. In addition extra and improved stabling sidings will be provided in the tunnels past the station with capacity for five 8-car trains and is due to open in 2005.
