A bookmobile (also known as book mobile) is a mobile library. Most bookmobiles are somewhat large vehicles, i.e. so that they have sufficient space that people can also sit and read books inside them while they are parked. An example of a bookmobile mobilivre. The Gerstenslager company specialized in building mobile libraries and similar vehicles in the 1950s.
