Boone River - Definition and Overview

The Boone River is a tributary of the Des Moines River in the state of Iowa in the United States.

According to DNR records the main channel length of the Boone River is 103.2 miles, and its drainage area covers approximately 900 sq. miles of land in Hamilton County, Webster County, Wright County, Hancock County, Humboldt County, and Kossuth County. The Boone flows into the Des Moines River approximately 20 mi (32 km) southwest of Fort Dodge.
