A website, Bored of Studies (http://www.boredofstudies.org) (a spoof of the Board of Studies, New South Wales), which provides free of charge notes to help students, by past students from New South Wales, in their final high school year, in which they undertake the Higher School Certificate. Additional features of the website include a forum and UAI calculator. The website was established in 2001 and is becoming increasingly influential, both in the education system and to a lesser degree in the media; it is not uncommon for teachers to reference Bored of Studies.
Though the forum is open to students from all over Australia, uptake of its facilities is not very high in some states. It is run by former Higher School Certificate students, currently in university, for other students.
Whilst an extreme majority of member and users of the site is from New South Wales, this may change in 2005 when a sub-site for the state of Victoria is finished. This will consist of a forum or fora, and a TER calculator based on the successful UAI calculator for the state of NSW.
Bored of Studies T-shirts will also be available through the site's online shop, due to popular demand.
