Botany is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, nearby Mascot, and Sydney Airport, part of the City of Botany Bay and adjacent to the bay of the same name. It is also the site of Sydney's major port, Sydney Ports, and as such, is a suburb with extensive commercial development centered around shipping and freight. Botany also has a large chemical production facility owned by Orica (previously ICI).
