Brachiation Brachiation

Brachiation - Definition

Brachiation (to brachiate) means moving about by swinging from one arm to another, for example through a tree, using branches as holds. Many primates use this method to move through forest quickly. True brachiation is only seen in lesser Apes and spider monkeys. In some cases espically in lesser Apes the primate can go through the tree faster than a Human walking in the ground.
