Bredene is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality only comprises the town of Bredene proper. On January 1st, 2004 Bredene had a total population of 14,803 (7,349 males and 7,454 females). The total area is 13.08 km² which gives a population density of 1131.81 inhabitants per km².
There is a nudist beach (the only one in Belgium) near tram stop "Bredene Renbaan (Hippodroom)".
