Brenda Davies (née Brenda Ethel Mathews in 1917, in Australia) was the wife of Robertson Davies.
They married in 1940, having met at Oxford University. She shared the same interests in theatre as Davies.
After Davies' death in 1995, she and one of their daughters, Jennifer Surridge, became literary executrixes for his estate, and formed a company, Pendragon Ink for this purpose. Together they have edited one volume of Davies' criticism.
