Brett Emerton (born February 22, 1979 in Bankstown, New South Wales) is an Australian footballer who currently plays for Blackburn Rovers in England. He is usually a right midfielder but has been known to play as a right wing back. He has previously played for Feyenoord Rotterdam and the Olympic Sharks in Sydney. Captain of the Olyroos, Australia's Olympic Football Team at Sydney 2000. Currently a member of the national team and was the 2002 Oceania Player of the Year.
