Brett Andrew Hull (b. August 9, 1964 in Belleville, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player and the son of legendary player Bobby Hull. He is known as one of the game's best scorers with a powerful, accurate shot and is currently the third-highest career goal scorer in the history of the National Hockey League, with 741. Hull has a reputation for being outspoken and on numerous occasions has criticized the league, the players union, and other facets of the game. Hull is a dual citizen by birth (his mother is a United States citizen) and plays international hockey for the USA. He has three children with his ex-wife Allison: Jude, Jayde, and Crosby.

Hull was drafted 117th overall in the 1984 draft by the Calgary Flames. He spent most of his career with the St. Louis Blues before being sent to the Dallas Stars in 1998. On June 19, 1999 Hull scored the winning goal off his own rebound in the third overtime period of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals against Buffalo Sabres goalie Dominik Hasek to clinch the series. Even though his skate clearly violated the man-in-the-crease rule as he whacked at the puck, officials allowed the goal, ruling Hull had maintained control of it throughout. Hull and Hasek later won the Stanley Cup together as teammates in 2002 with the Detroit Red Wings.

On October 9, 2000, Brett moved past his father on the NHL's all-time goal scoring list with his 611th goal.

Hull signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Phoenix Coyotes on August 6, 2004.
