Brian Houston is the Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. His father, Frank Houston, pastored the church before he did. Originally a Salvation Army officer, Frank Houston had switched to the Baptist church soon after his son Brian was born, and had later joined the Assemblies of God in New Zealand, becoming Senior Pastor of the local Assembly of God in Lower Hutt, where the young Brian grew up and eventually followed in his father's footsteps.
Brian Houston teaches Word-faith theology and is the author of 'FOR THIS CAUSE', You Need More Money, 'HOW TO BUILD GREAT RELATIONSHIPS', 'HOW TO LIVE A BLESSED LIFE', 'HOW TO MAKE WISE CHOICES' and 'HOW TO FLOURISH IN LIFE'.
His wife is Bobbie Houston, also originally from New Zealand, who has a ministry of her own.
Since 1997 he has been General Superintendent of the Australian Assemblies of God pentecostal church, since Andrew Evans' retirement.
