Brightwood is an unincorporated tourist-oriented community within the Mt. Hood Corridor in Clackamas County, Oregon. It is located between Wemme and Sandy just off of US 26.
The community traces its roots to at least the 1890s, when a post office called Salmon, named after the nearby Salmon River, was established. The post office was renamed Brightwood in 1910.
