Broadcom also makes ICs for digital subscriber line (DSL), carrier access, and wireless communications equipment. Customers include Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Dell, and Cisco Systems. Co-founders are Henry Samueli (chairman and CTO) and Henry Nicholas . Outsources production to Asian foundries such as TSMC, SMIC, Silterra, and UMC. The company is based in Irvine, California.
