Hubert Horatio "Buck" Humphrey IV is the son of former Minnesota attorney general Hubert H. Humphrey III and Nancy Lee Humphrey and the grandson of former US Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey and former Second Lady and US Senator Muriel Humphrey. In 2002 he ran unsuccessfully for Minnesota Secretary of State as the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate against the Republican incumbent Mary Kiffmeyer.
