Bud Collyer - Definition and Overview

Bud Collyer (June 18, 1908September 8 1969)Born Clayton J. Heermance, Jr., he provided the voice of both Clark Kent and Superman in the 1940s radio drama The Adventures of Superman and cartoon shorts, and was the voice of Batman in the 1960s television cartoon show. Bud's many radio roles also included stints on Terry and the Pirates, Renfrew of the Mounted, Abie's Irish Rose, The March of Time and Cavalcade of America. He was also the long-time host of the television game shows Beat The Clock and To Tell The Truth.
