Cablevision (NYSE: CVC) is a cable television company that serves parts of the Northeast of the United States, with most costumers residing in New York, New Jersey and Conneticut. Cablevision also offers high-speed Internet connections, as well as digital cable and VOIP phone service through their Optimum brand name. Cablevision holds a majority stake in Madison Square Garden LP., which includes ownership of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and New York Liberty. Other properties that are owned by Cablevision include Radio City Music Hall, Clearview Cinemas, and an up-start satellite company called Voom. The company is based in Bethpage, NY on Long Island and is headed by the Dolan family who reside on Long Island.
