Cahir (Irish: An Cathair, meaning "the city") is a town in Tipperary, Ireland. The town is mostly known for Cahir Castle, just off the town centre, and the Swiss cottage. It lies on the River Suir.
The town is on the main Limerick–Waterford road, and railway line.
