California State Highway 163 - Definition and Overview
California State Highway 163, also named the Cabrillo Freeway, is an 11 mile stretch of freeway that was once the southern end of U.S. Highway 395. It splits from Interstate 15 at the south end of Miramar and extends south to Interstate 5, ending in downtown San Diego. The southern-most 2-1/2 miles of Highway 163, where it passes through Balboa Park, is one of the most scenic freeways in the country.
