Campbelltown railway station, Sydney - Definition and Overview

Campbelltown railway station is located in Campbelltown, New South Wales, a town on the south-western periphery of Sydney, Australia.

The station was opened on 17 May 1858. At one time it was the junction for the Campbelltown-Camden line but this branch line has been removed. Campbelltown is on the main railway line connecting Sydney with Canberra and Melbourne. Services to Campbelltown have been electrified since 4 May 1968.
