Cangjie or Cang Jie (仓颉) is a fabled and legendary figure from ancient China, claimed to be the Yellow Emperor's official historian, and the inventor of the Chinese character. The Cangjie method of Chinese character computer input is named after him.
In the fable, Cangjie lives has "double pupil four item". In the Chinese fable has this kind of characteristic the character only has three: Wang Sheng? Yellow Emperor, Wen Sheng? Cangjie, 武圣 □ item of feather.
Cangjie creates the character
The fable of how Cangjie made the character was already widely spread during the time of the Warring States. The factual aspect of who exactly is the person to whom the Chinese character creation should be attributed to is not a matter of struggle, and the Cangjie is generally thought of as the keeper of the Chinese characters.
Cangjie's textual criticism places such as Shandong Shoukwang, Henan Kaifeng, Hebei Nanle, Shaanxi Chang An and Clear Water all have evidence of a grave for the legendary Canjie.
