Canyon County is a county located in the state of Idaho. As of 2000, the population is 131,441. The county's county seat is Caldwell, Idaho6.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,563 km² (604 mi²). 1,527 km² (590 mi²) of it is land and 36 km² (14 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.28% water.

There are 47,965 housing units at an average density of 31/km² (81/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 83.10% White, 0.32% Black or African American, 0.85% Native American, 0.80% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 12.17% from other races, and 2.62% from two or more races. 18.61% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 45,018 households out of which 39.80% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.70% are married couples living together, 10.10% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.60% are non-families. 19.80% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.40% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
