Capitol Wrestling Corporation was the name of the holding company which owned the former World Wide Wrestling Federation. It was controlled by promoter Vincent J. McMahon, who later sold it to his son Vince McMahon, who subsequently renamed the enterprise the World Wrestling Federation, and later, to settle a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund over control of the initials "WWF"", to World Wrestling Entertainment.
