The Captain General Royal Marines is the ceremonial head of the Royal Marines. The current incumbent is HRH the Duke of Edinburgh.

The uniform and insignia are those of a Field Marshal.

Do not confuse this position with that of the Commandant General Royal Marines, the professional head.
