Carl Wayne - Definition and Overview

Carl Wayne (August 18, 1943 - August 31, 2004) was the lead singer of the pop group The Move. They had hits with Flowers in the Rain and I Can Hear the Grass Grow.

Wayne was born in Birmingham in the UK.

He joined The Hollies in 2000, and also tried his hand at theatre playing the role of narrator in Willy Russell's musical Blood Brothers.

Wayne married actress Susan Hanson in 1974.

Wayne died from cancer.
