The Celaeno Fragments are a fictional work in the weird horror stories known as the Cthulhu Mythos. The name Celaeno comes from a distant planet that contains a huge library of alien literature. In August Derleth's "The Trail of Cthulhu", Professor Laban Shrewsbury and his companions travel to Celaeno several times to escape from Cthulhu's minions. Shrewsbury wrote the "Celaeno Fragments", based on what he remembered of his translations of the books in the library of Celaeno.
