Celesio is Europe's largest wholesale merchant for pharmaceuticals. The Stuttgart-based company was formerly known as Gehe (till 2003).
During the last years, Celesio expanded into the retail business and today manages several thousand pharmacies all over Europe (a special focus is the UK).
The total revenue achieved by Celesio in 2003 was about 20 billion Euro.
