Chambana is a nickname for the Champaign-Urbana region in Illinois. The region is home to roughly 150,000 citizens who either reside in Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, or are students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The joint town is the site of the main campus of the University of Illinois.
