Chanticleer - Definition and Overview

Chanticleer is the name of a rooster in the fable Chanticleer and the Fox, one version of which is told in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Chanticleer is also the name of a male vocal ensemble with a wide repertoire that performs throughout the world. They first performed in 1978 and since have established a respected reputation for excellence in music. See Chanticleer.
