Check it Out! - Definition and Overview

Check it Out! was a Canadian television sitcom, which aired on CTV from 1985 to 1988. Like many Canadian sitcoms of the era, it fared poorly with both audiences and critics.

The show, a workplace comedy set in a supermarket, starred Don Adams as manager Howard Bannister. The cast also included Dinah Christie, Gordon Clapp, Barbara Hamilton, Kathleen Laskey and Tonya Lee Williams.

It was Adams' attempt at a sitcom comeback, following his successful role in the animated Inspector Gadget series. He had previously been the star of Get Smart in the 1960s.
