ChefMoz is a spin-off project from Open Directory Project. Instead of listing websites it list places where you can eat and offers reviews. The restaurant listings and reviews are offered as open content.
Autumn Looijen (autumn) was hired to start the project and on December 1, 1999 thr site went live. The first editors came from ODP and later also from the general public. In November 2004 Paul Jobson (vbrtrmn) took over after Autumn.
