Chiasso (pronounced "K'yah-so") is a town in Switzerland.
Located at the southern extremity of the canton of Ticino, it is the last town in Switzerland before the border with Italy.
Customs facilities on the border with Italy are available.
The A2 Swiss motorway passes through Chiasso. It is not rare for the motorway to experience pile-ups before the border when vehicles are being carefully checked.
