Chikusa (千種区; -ku) is a ward of Japan in the eastern part of Nagoya. It has a number of large parks such as Higashi-yama Park and Heiwa Park, the former home to the Nagoya Zoo and Botanical Gardens as well as the Higashi-yama Sky Tower. The area also has a large number of educational institutions including Nagoya University.
