Chirk (Welsh: Y Waun) is a town in Denbighshire in Wales. Attractions in the town include Chirk Castle, a section of Offa's Dyke and the Llangollen Canal aqueduct, built in 1801 by Thomas Telford. The Glyn Valley Tramway operates from here. Local government reorganisation has resulted in Chirk's inclusion in the administrative county borough of Wrexham.
