Chris Blackwell (born June 22, 1937) is the founder of Island Records. Born in London, Blackwell spent his childhood in Jamaica, which is where he founded two record companies, including Island Records. Blackwell is currently associate with, among other ventures, Island Outpost, which operates or markets a group of high-end community-friendly resorts in Jamaica.
