Chris Coleman was part of the championship winning soccer team at Blackburn Rovers. He was persuaded by Kevin Keegan to drop two leagues to Fulham F.C. and quickly became club captain.

He had a car accident that ended his playing career and moved into coaching. Towards the end of the 2002/2003 season he took over as temporary manager at Fulham, and was given the post permanently at the end of the season.

He was also a Welsh international winning 32 caps.
