Christian Art Mediums - Definition and Overview |

Christian art mediums differ between christian denominations. There are many denominations (for a complete list of demoninations see List_of_Christian_denominations). Each religious sect has its own set of restrictions. The following is a listing of allowable mediums per religious branch:
Catholic Art
- Church Architecture, Fresco, Paintings, Stained Glass, Sculptures.
Orthodox Art
- Church Architecture, Icons (paintings that follow a specific style), Stained Glass. Sculptures are forbidden (Raised relief metal on an icon is not forbidden).
Protestant Art
- Church Architecture, Stained Glass.
