Church Street is a main street in the city of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. One side is bordered by McCabe Park and south end borders the Wollongong Mall. The north end of Church Street ends at Stuart Park, the south ending at JJ Kelly Park. Many houses are historic. It is a popular place for tourists and contains many shops and cultural areas.
The street provides thoroughfare to Crown Street through Burelli and Corrimal Street.
History
The street was created in the early 1800s, and contained a bottle factory and many houses. Most of south church street had fine views on the "Glebe" in McCabe Park.
