CityFlyer Express is a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways. Euroworld Airways was established in 1991 and began operations in May with two Shorts 360 aircraft. The airline soon began flights from Gatwick and purchased two additional Shorts 360s. In 1992 the airline was renamed CityFlyer Express and reported a profit. The airline also acquired four 48-seat ATR 42-310s. In 1993 the airline signed a franchise agreement with British Airways including a code-sharing agreement and full BA livery and uniforms. In 1994 CityFlyer introduced the 66-seat ATR 72-202. CityFlyer acquried its first jet aircraft in 1997 with the introduction of the BAe 146. British Airways purchased CityFlyer in 1999. DestinationsIATA CodeCityFlyer Express uses the IATA designator codes BA and FD. ICAO CodeCityFlyer Express uses the ICAO designator code CFE.
