Clive Reville - Definition and Overview

Clive Selsby Revill (born April 30, 1930) is an experienced screen veteran who appeared in eighty-six films and whose experience ranged from theatrical blockbusters to stage classics. He is most notable for being the voice of the Emperor in the original version of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (he was replaced with Ian McDiarmid for the DVD release.)

Revill has also done voice works in such films as Transformers the Movie and The Hobbit. He is the sole actor to play in two distinct movie franchises: Star Wars and Star Trek.
