Cocoliche is an Italian pidgin spoken in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It has few if any speakers in modern Buenos Aires. Cocoliche is based in large part on early Italian immigrants to Argentina and their attempt to assimilate their tongue to the sister Romance language of Spanish. It is depicted humorously in literary works and other media.
