The Competitive Enterprise Institute a non-profit public policy organization dedicated to the principles of free enterprise and limited government. They believe that consumers are best helped not by government regulation but by being allowed to make their own choices in a free marketplace. It was founded in 1984.

Global warming

The CEI has been an outspoken opponent of any government action on global warming, and recently called for an EPA official to be fired for daring to predict that regulation would occur.
