Compulsive overeater - Definition and Overview

Compulsive overeaters are people that eat when they are not hungry, who binge with no reason, feel guilty after eating, spend excessive amounts of time and thought devoted to food, who secretly plan or fantisize about binging alone, or eat to escape worry or trouble. Any or all of these things are signs that an individual could be a compulsive overeater.

There is a twelve-step program called Overeaters Anonymous that offers support to individuals who are recovering overeaters.
