Con Air (1997) is an action/thriller movie starring Nicolas Cage and John Cusack, directed by Simon West.

Plot

Cage is a former US ranger, Cameron Poe convicted and serving time for assault. On his flight to release, the plane is hijacked by Cyrus 'The Virus' Grissom, played by John Malkovich. The rest of the story involves Cusack, as U.S. Marshal Vince Larkin trying to keep the plane in one piece and the prisoners back in prison, Poe trying to stay alive and aid Larkin, while saving the guards of the plane, other law inforcement officers trying to shoot the plane down, and Cyrus the Virus trying to stay out of prison.
