Corey Feldman - Definition and Overview

Corey Feldman (4th from the left) with the Goonies Cast 2004 Reunion

Corey Feldman (born July 16, 1971 in Chatsworth, California) was a popular child actor in the 1980s. His parents were Shiela and Bob Feldman, the songwriter/record producer who wrote and produced My Boyfriend's Back for The Angels, produced Hang On Sloopy for The McCoys, and was a member of The Strangeloves who had a #11 pop hit with I Want Candy.

Known for playing obnoxious, rebellious young men, Feldman starred in many teen-oriented films of the era including The Goonies. He was often paired with another popular child actor of the era, Corey Haim, eventually leading to them to be dubbed The two Coreys. In 1989 he appeared in the comedy The 'burbs opposite Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. As an adult he suffered drug problems, and his film career waned and faded out. In the mid and late 1990s he made a number of appearances on the Howard Stern show.

In 1989 Feldman married actress Vanessa Marcil; they were divorced in 1993. In 2002 he married Susie Sprague; she gave birth their first child, a boy named Zen Scott Feldman, on 7 August 2004 in Los Angeles.

Now clean and sober, Corey Feldman is currently focused on a musical career. He has recently released his first solo album Former Child Actor and has completed a United States tour promoting the album. He also appeared on "reality" television shows I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and The Surreal Life, and frequently appears on the Howard Stern show.
