Cradle Will Rock is a 1999 movie written and directed by Tim Robbins. It stars Bill Murray, Hank Azaria, John Cusack, Ruben Blades, Susan Sarandon (as Margherita Sarfatti), Joan Cusack, Angus McFadyen, Cary Elwes, Vanessa Redgrave, Emily Watson, John Turturro, and Cherry Jones.
Set in 1937, Cradle Will Rock is a somewhat fictionalized account of the genesis and first performances of Marc Blitzstein's musical called The Cradle Will Rock.
