Cristal is a Cuban beer. It is brewed at the Cerveceria Bucanero S.A. in Holguin, Cuba. It is the most popular beer (http://www.cuba-erleben.de/com/Drinks.htm) sold in Cuba.
Cristal is also the name of a prestige Champagne produced by Louis Roederer that is easily recognized by its clear bottle, anti-UV cellophane wrapper, and gold label. This wine tries very hard to be the most expensive, and is prominently consumed as a status symbol by rappers, who have dubbed it "Chris" or "Chrissy". It is also referred to as "The Jungle Juice of Champagnes" by its detractors, although this is due to its indiscriminate consumption by the very wealthy, and not the high quality of the product itself.
