Crix Madine is a fictional general from Star Wars. He is seen in the film Return of the Jedi announcing the capture of an Imperial shuttle and commissioning the crew, headed by then-General Han Solo, to pilot it to Endor. He can also be seen at the Hoth rebel base in The Empire Strikes Back.
 Madine on the bridge of a Mon Calamari star cruiser Prior to his movie appearance, General Madine was an Imperial special-forces operative who executed many black ops missions for the Empire. He also started the Storm Commandos training program. However, one particularly heinous mission led him to rebel against the Empire and join the Rebel Alliance. Shortly afterward, he became head of the Alliance's special forces.
In the PC game Dark Forces, one mission involves rescueing Crix Madine from an Imperial correctional facility. This is one of the more challenging levels in the game.
General Madine's distinguished career was cut tragically short when he was executed by Durga the Hutt after his failed infiltration of the Death Star-like Darksaber battle station in 11 ABY. This event is documented in Kevin J. Anderson's Star Wars novel "Darksaber".
