Crowland (modern usage) or Croyland (medieval era name) is a town in Lincolnshire, England, positioned between Peterborough and Spalding, with two major sites of historical interest. One is the unique three-sided bridge, Trinity Bridge, which stands at its central point; the other is its ruined medieval abbey, Crowland Abbey. The Croyland Chronicle, an important source for medieval historians, is believed to be the work of one of the monastery's inhabitants.
