Ctwm Ctwm

Ctwm - Definition

In Unix computing, CTWM is a window manager for the X Window System in the twm family of window managers. CTWM was derived from the sources for twm, but was extended to allow for "multiple workspaces" or virtual desktops by Claude Lecommandeur.

Along with support for up to 32 virtual desktops CTWM is also highly customizable and supports XPMs, advanced icon management, animated icons and backgrounds, and 3D titles and borders. There is also rudimentary GNOME support and backwards-compatibility with twm.

Author

While derived from the work of the authors of twm the author of the extensions provided by CTWM is Claude Lecommandeur.
